I'm planning to use TCA9517DR I2C repeater in my design for Ethernet MDIO , MDC Signals - Management Interfaces which requires frequency upto 2.5MHz.

Kindly, share the maximum frequency supported for this part.

The maximum frequency is 400 kHz.

There is no bidirectional buffer at that frequency.

Hi Indujha,

TCA9517 max frequency is 400kHz according to the I2C spec.

Our next fastest is TCA9617B which supports fast mode+ I2C speeds up to 1 MHz.

As for auto-bi-directional I2C buffers, TCA9617B is our fastest buffer.
