I'm trying to qualify a TI THVD1452DGS (RS 485 transceiver) part into our system and have a question on the ".A" suffix version of the part also listed in the orderable parts section. This appears to be exactly the same and TI's website in one place says it is the exact same part, but I'm struggling if it is the exact same part then why does it have a different part number? It doesn't make sense.
I'm trying to understand if I should add both the THVD1452DGS and the THVD1452DGS.A part to my AVL (approved vendor list), but I'm unable to get a clear answer on this.
Can you just give me a straight answer so I can move on?
