We are using the TUSB8042A hub in one of our designs and are looking for the package loss value at 2.5 GHz for estimating the loss in our USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) application.

Kindly share the required data and assist us with this request.

Hub is like retimer , it will clean the signal jitter from upstream port and re-transmit with clean signal. You just need to estimate the loss from hub downstream port to USB connector.

I understand that this functions as a re-driver. However, it would still introduce some RLC package loss even when driving a clean signal—correct?

That’s the data I’m trying to get clarity on. If the loss is in the range of 0.8 to 1 dB, we’ll need to factor that into our overall loss budget—right?

TI package team don't provide package loss information. Please use IBIS mode for TUSB8041A which include package RLC information.
