THVD8000: EN55032 Conducted Emissions Compliance

Part Number: THVD8000

Tool/software:

Hi,

I was wondering if I had 500Khz carrier frequency and a baud rate of 9600, would I be able to pass EN55032 Conducted Emissions?

  • Hi Yixing,

The answer is most likely yes- we haven't really heard of people having issues passing conducted emissions standard - but I am not sure how many systems care about conducted emissions. In general placing an EMI filter on the VCC pin allowing only DC to pass would be best as from a conducted emissions standard the main concern would be fluctuations on the VCC pin due to the OOK modulation.  There is already filtering from the shared bus because the shared bus has inductive coupling - if DC there should be bulk capacitance and for AC systems some small bulk capacitance would be necessary.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
