  • Hi David,

1)The EQ_SEL/A0 and A1 is for I2C address select so we have configured it through pull up and pull down, so whether if we leave it floating will there not be any problem? mentioned in 8.5.1 in datasheet
    2) The SCL SINK and SDA SINK signals we have connected is 3.3 for TMDS181 will that be fine? can you confirm this once
    3) And the SCL SINK and SDA SINK for SN65DP we have connected 5V should this both be same or if varied will there be any issues causing ? can i connect 3.3V to this pin also ?

    Thanks,
    Irfan

The I2C_EN is pulled low in the schematic so the pin strap mode is being enabled. So my review comment for EQ_SEL/A0 and A1 is geared toward the pin strap mode configuration. In I2C mode, yes, you do need to pull them either high or low to set the I2C address.

    2) The SCL SINK and SDA SINK signals we have connected is 3.3 for TMDS181 will that be fine? can you confirm this once

    I don't see this as an issue since TMDS181 SCL_SNK and SDA_SNK VI-DC is from -0.3V to 5.5V.

I assume you have a level shifter that shifts from 3.3V to 5V, and also have 47k pullup on the DDC for the HDMI input design?

    3) And the SCL SINK and SDA SINK for SN65DP we have connected 5V should this both be same or if varied will there be any issues causing ? can i connect 3.3V to this pin also ?

DP159 SDA_SNK and SCL_SNK need to be connected to 5V.

    Thanks

  • Hi David,

    Thanks for the feedback.
I need a help with CEC signal in HDMI , if i am not using what should i do .
can i leave it floating, or should i connect it to ESD diode IC and just pull it up .

    Thanks,
    Irfan

This pin is either NC or can be routed to control a CEC enable FET as shown below.

    Thanks
