SN65HVDA542-Q1: Internal BUS Termination

Dear CAN Transceiver Support Team.

One of our customers is looking for an internal bus termination resistor for a CAN transceiver.
It is also desirable to be able to enable/disable the bus termination resistors.

I sorted through the CAN transceivers on the TI web and couldn't find any that had internal bus termination in the descriptions.

We received feedback from our customers.

The background is that termination resistors are required in CAN networks, and currently this is done in the field.

As an improvement, we assumed that if the device could be turned on/off internally, it would be possible to change the setting from the network after wiring, which would be more convenient.

Thanks for sharing. The termination scheme often changes depending on the system needs, giving the flexibility to system designers.

Could you also share the customer info, project info, timeline and estimated number of units needed for the project over the timeline?

We received feedback from our customers.
Prototype: July 2025
Mass production: End of 2026
Quantity: 10K per year

They didn't give a clear answer on the details of the application. My guess is it's a Robot control unit.
