DS90CR288A: SERDES IC DS90CR288 problem at elevated temperature

Part Number: DS90CR288A

Tool/software:

We are using DS90CR288A in our design for receiving video data (LVDS)from camlink transmitter of camera sensor and converting LVDS serial data to parrallel data which are connecting to FPGA IOs.

At elevated temperatures above +55 deg C, few pixels are not sampled properly and we are getting random data instead of original pixel data.

Input data coming to IC is as follows

pixel clock 80MHZ,LVDS

I am uploading my schematics for your review.Kindly go through the schematics and guide us to resolve the issue.

Please mail us if u need any additional data.LWIR SINGLE CARD_16FEB16_1130.pdf

  • Hi Raju,

Thank you for your question. I had a few questions about the tests:

    1. How many boards were tested and do they all show this issue? Is the issue reproducible?

    2. Is it verified by software that the pixel data received is incorrect?

    3. You can see that the datasheet "Receiver Switching Characteristics" table has skew margins for the receiver strobe positions. If there is additional jitter on the received signal due to higher temperatures, then the data could be sampled at invalid points. Can the video source to the LVDS receiver be causing this issue? What type of video source is used?

    Best regards,
    Ikram
