TPD3E001: TPD3E001

Part Number: TPD3E001
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4E1U06

Tool/software:

TPD3E001 has been used for the following project, in which we have used the FT4232HL with the schematic for self powered configuration.
The problem has been observed that if Vcc is not supplied from TPD3E00, the 5V coming from VBUS through IO3 causes power to be supplied to the rest of the components, showing when connecting the USB to the PC, as bus powered.
So we have to supply Vcc from TPD first, and then connect the USB to avoid this problem.
To solve this problem, is there an single-channel ESD protection diode available, or is it better to use a passive ESD protection diode, that is without Vcc? What do you recommend?
