I have looked into the datasheet but I can only see a comment on the INT line for the device. Does the same thresholds for the INT line correspond to the GPIO when they are used as inputs?

The input voltages levels were not ported over correctly to the Q1 datasheet. The levels are the same as the commercial device:
/INT is an open-drain output. It is not an input and therefore does not have VIL/VIH levels, but only output characteristics. IOL = 4mA at VOL = 0.4V.
