Hello,

There is a short circuit protection that can be enable via bit drv_1_sel_scp. Can you explain how it works? What will happen in case of a short circuit?

Is there a reason why this short circuit protection only exists on the 100R output and not on the 75R cable driver? I would expect it to be more useful on the 75R output as this one is connected directly with an external SDI connector.

Hi,

The short circuit protection is based on a current sensing resistor on the connected output. When a short is detected, a high current event will shut off the port to protect the device.

Because this is a current sensing trigger, we only put this short circuit protection on voltage-mode drivers. OUT1 is a VMD that comes with short circuit protection, whereas OUT0 is a current mode driver.
