SN65DSI86: After EN is enabled, what is the minimum delay required before i2c data is transferred?

Part Number: SN65DSI86

Tool/software:

Hi,

After EN is enabled, what is the minimum delay required before i2c data is transferred?
It now takes 240ms to avoid a no display with only backlight on. This makes the display on time too long and seriously affects the user experience.

Thanks

  • Hello,

Could you please tell us what delay you are referring to? You can see on the "8.4.2 Power-Up Sequence" that after EN is asserted, then DSI configurations can be done via I2C.

Note that there will be some time needed for the initialization scripts, receiving and enabling video, and for DisplayPort link training. Is the 240 ms for the entire power-up sequence?  And please share more information about the no display condition and which delay or setup times you are referring to.

    Best regards,
    Ikram
