Tool/software:

Hi, Is the TUSB9261 DEMO a ready to use design. The target is USB 3.0, Linux Kernel 6.XX on ARM.

  • Does it require additional software development?
  • Is the software royalty free?
  • Is there available design files (Altium)?

Kind Regards

  • Hi Magnus,

Hi, Is the TUSB9261 DEMO a ready to use design. The target is USB 3.0, Linux Kernel 6.XX on ARM.

How do you mean by a ready to use design? Just that the design of the EVM should be applicable for general use of the device, or that the design is a good reference? We have had customers use this for Linux, though Linux support from our side will be limited if needed.

Does it require additional software development?

This depends on your use case. we have firmware available on ti.com that supports typical use-cases of our device, but anything that our firmware does not provide or does not have enabled would likely need to be done on the customers side. We can provide the FW source files if needed.

    Is the software royalty free?

Anyone can download the software we use for this device directly from TI.com just by requesting it through the website. It should not have a cost attached.

Is there available design files (Altium)?

I will send you a friend request over E2E, if you accept that, I can send you the design files we have available. I believe most of our designs are done in Cadence/Allegro.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
