AM26C31: AM26C31 PCN issue

Part Number: AM26C31
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75ALS192

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Customer use AM26C31 for long time and happened high defect rate after our PCN change,

https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/6146/PCN20240328001.2.pdf

Although we are not specify EFT/ESD spec.. in datasheet, but the device after PCN can not use in existing project due to high defect rate.

Customer is asking if TI have p2p solution with better EFT/ESD  can help them direct replace.

We find SN75ALS192 seems is p2p with AM25C31, but would like check with team if we have better solution.

SN75ALS192 - Quadruple Differential Line Driver

None P2P can also provide for customer reference.

Thanks & Regards

Eddie

Do you have more information on what the failure is?

What does the customer's schematic/system look like?

What ESD/EFT test are they specifically failing?

What package is the customer using?

What data rate do they need to support?

Are they using the device at 3.3V?

  • Hi Bobby,

I will send you  CPR251121782 report by e-mail as E2E is public.

The full part number is AM26C31QDRG4 ,

customer test report include schematic , will send by e-mail as e2e is not internal.

due to issue is after PCN, customer will not change HW and looking for TI provide p2p solution  ( we can also suggest non-p2p if no choose)

    Thanks & Regards

  • Hi Eddie,

Bobby is out of the office today - but since it sounds like you want to take this offline I am going to close this thread (you can reopen it by replying again if necessary). Also just for future notice there is an internal forum you should be able to post to to keep sensitive information off of the public forums.
