DS26F31MQML ---   Customer would like to know if the single-ended inputs of this device are cold sparing. Also, if they are, what would the equivalent circuit look like. Also, is there ESD protection. Lastly, could he get a slightly more detailed equialvent circuit of the ESD protection/cold sparing circuitry if possible.

    Greetings -

    The DS26F31 is a bipolar device, the input looks into a base terminal, there is also a Diode to GND for clamping.  ABS MAX for Input is 7V and is not relative to VCC.  You can apply a input to this part with VCC off, it is cold sparing.  Intrinsic ESD ptoection is provided by the input stage and also the substrate diode.  We can provide an input stage drawning if needed, please email me off list at John.Goldie@ti.com to obtain it.
