Demo board for DS92LV16

Hi All,

I am planning to use DS92LV16 LVDS SERDES. I want to test my logic before doing actual board and need a demo board for this IC.

I found a demo kit part number BLVDS16EVK for this IC through google but all the distributors have zero stock for this kit and I am not able to find this part number on National/TI website.

Can anyone tell me if any demo kit is available for this IC and where can I buy it?

    Greetings -

    The DS92LV16 is an older generation Ser/Des and is in full production.  The EVM (Eval Board) is no longer available.

    The DS92LV18 is a similar part (18-bit) of the same vintage and a few boards are available for that device (see LVDS-18B-EVK).

    The curent generation of this family's Ser/Des is Channel Link 2.  See DS92LV2421/2 for this 24 bit wide Ser and Des.

    In includes many enhanced and additional fetaures, such a randization, balancing and scrambling of the data for improved signal quality.

    It also includes additional SigCon and BIST capability.  Many versions of IO and speed grades are avaiable.  Basic EVM is LV24EVK01.

    Actually I have a camera sensor which gives 16-bit data as serialized LVDS output. The datasheet recommends  DS92LV16 for de-serializing this data stream. So, I cannot use 18-bit or 24-bit de-serializers.

    Can you suggest any alternative for  DS92LV16 which have some eval board available. I need only de-serializer functionality.

    Hello -

    Sorry for the holiday break delay.  Unfortunately National only offered the one EVK for this part and it is no longer in stock. If you have the SER (DS92LV16) then you are correct, the DES function of the DS92LV16 is needed.  Please email me direct at John.Goldie@ti.com I will try to locate you a bare board or if I can locate lab unit for you.
