Please clarify what is meant by "nVEN is disabled, nDEN is enabled".

Do you mean the VBUS path is enabled? And the data path is disabled?

Or the other way around; VBUS path is disabled and the data path is enabled?

Hello Ted,

I've consulted one of our design engineers and learned that as long as there is not a thermal shutdown event and VIN is within the spec, then a short-to-VBUS and short-to-battery event should be active. However, please allow me a few business days to perform a bench test and I will let you know my test results.

In the meantime, who is the customer and what is the projected volume? Is there a PPM ID you can share?

Thanks for your comments and expect your test results in test bench. 

The customer is Ecarx for Geely car modules . the MP volume is about 100Ku/Year. ppm ID is 492321.
