DS92LV16: DS92LV16TVHGX/NOPB application with optical transceiver

Part Number: DS92LV16

Tool/software:

We are using the DS92LV16TVHGX/NOPB to convert parallel data to serial. The serial LVDS output (DO+ and DO−) is then converted to LVPECL using the MAX9376. This LVPECL signal is then fed into a 1x9 optical Transceiver.

On the receiver side, the same setup is used in reverse for deserialization. The LVDS lines are terminated with 100 Ω, and the LVPECL lines are terminated using a 130 Ω pull-up to VCC and 82 Ω pull-down to GND.

However, we are encountering the following issues:

  1. Is this configuration correct and expected to work reliably?

  2. The DS92LV16TVHGX/NOPB is overheating during operation. What could be the possible causes?

  3. We are unable to receive all the data bits correctly on the de-serializer side. What steps should we take to ensure reliable and error-free data reception?\
