Dear sirs,

I'm trying to install the TI TUSBxxxx EEPROM Programmer software application. Unfortunately, every time I run the setup installer the following info popup window appears: SetupCopyOEMInfo() Failed with error 0x3.

The PC runs Windows XP with SP2.

Is the EEPROM burner app for the 3410 or for another TUSB device?

Yes, it is. Another symptom is that when I connect the USB cable to the PC, the TUSB is not detected. I understand this as a normal behavior, since the device is blank.

The application is installed, but the 3410 device does not appear under the device selection pull down menu.

Hi AES,

As of the TUSB3410 not being detected in your system, it will be associated that you must have the proper VCP (virtual COM port) driver installed on your machine… I suggest loading the latest VCP driver from http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tusbwinvcp.html

Regarding the EEPROM burner app for the TUSB3410 device, it works fine using our TUSB3410 Eval board, I’m not sure if the issue can be related to your 3410 implementation… can you share your schematic so we can do a sanity check?
