DP83822I: TPI Network circuit clarification

Part Number: DP83822I

Tool/software:

Dear TI team,

I hope this question finds you well. Our team is trying to make the DP82822I works at 1.8V. The TPI Network Circuit shown page 104 of the DP83822I datasheet shows a configuration where it should be possible to have AVD at 1.8V, and therefore putting the center tap at this value too.

However, we are wondering if the 49.9 Ohms resistors of the RX/TX lines should remain connected at 3.3V or should we also change this to 1.8V? Could you help us on this? This question arises because some other application notes like this one : AN-1469 PHYTER® Design & Layout Guide (Rev. D) shows a shared voltage and the one mentioned above is a bit misleading (we can interprete in different ways).

We think that the voltage should remain the same since (if we go 1.8V then it should be 1.8V everywhere) because, to our knowledge, the voltage on the center tap is mainly here to protect against EMI issues but we would like a confirmation.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
