Hi team,
Is there specific reason we have FD_EN =0b by default? Customer is using TCAN1146 and wants to know if they should config this to 1b enabled.
Thanks
Scarlett

Hi Sean,
Customer is not using selective wakeup, my understanding is in this case WUP could wakeup the device. Customer found that when FD_EN=0, the device will be wake up by fault frame, when FD_EN=1, the device will not be wakeup by fault frame. Is it reasonable?
Thanks
Scarlett
Hi Sean,
Just add the comment that customer doesn't want the device to be wake up by fault frame. So they want to know how FD_EN cause this behavioral differences.
Thanks
Scarlett
Hi Scarlett,
This bit only turns on/off the ability of the transceiver to determine whether CAN bus faults (0x54) are taking place. I don't think it can affect wakeup function.
What is the definition of "fault" frame? Any CAN frame can actually be a valid WUP, if they need wakeup by selected CAN frame, they need to use selective wakeup.
Regards,
Sean
