Hi i am designing a video HD-SDI video splitter using CLC007, HD-SDI input into J1 and output through J3 J4 J5 and J6. Can anyone if i required additional reclocker and cable driver? If yes kindy advise part number or if possible reference design thanks.

Hi Cosgrove

CLC007 is the oldest SDI cabke driver, why not using LMH0324 as a possible solution?

Hi David, thanks for the reply, the LMH0324 is only 259(SD), I need HD-SDI (SMPTE259M) could you kindly advise an alternative? and could you also advise an application notes or something too? thansk.

Hi David/ TI

My current design is a 8 input 5 output, both HD-SDI video multiplxer box. i m looking at 1:4 vdeo splitter or 1:8 splitter and 8 : 5 video multuplexer. Do you have anything to recommend or application notes to offer?

Hi,

SD3GDAIII used our older generation of 3G devices, and LMH0309 is no longer available. Unfortunately we do not have another part in our product portfolio that can support 1 input 4 output.

For LMH6574, I am asking our Amplifier team to provide a response.

This e2e thread might be useful to you for video amplifiers in general at TI: e2e thread link.

Your required closed-loop bandwidth would depend on your max resolution. Based on equation given in above e2e thread link, you can calculate this value for your design needs. Max value is usually 200MHz, therefore, the LMH6574 will be able to satisfy this requirement, since:

500 MHz, 500 mV −3 dB Bandwidth, AV = 2

400 MHz, 2 VPP −3 dB Bandwidth, AV = 2
