Hi I built a small easy circuit with the help of EVM TUSB3410 UART that I have. But, unfortunately my PC is not showing the circuit that I built as a separate COM port. Which it is does when I plug the EVM.
Any suggestions?

You need a device driver in order to show it up in that PC. Which OS are you using? We have VCP (Virtual COM Port) drivers for Linux, Mac OSx and Windows XP/Vista.
I'll be glad to help any further.

What kind of circuit? you'll need to send us the schematics to support@ti.com and we can review it and help you accordingly. Also, like Ismael suggested, you need to have proper drivers too.

Thanks for your support. The issue was about the crystal and I just want to put it on the blog that 12 MHz crystal is absolutely necessasry for the TUSB3410 otherwise the PC says that unknown device.
Thanks for your inputs.
Regards.

The 12 MHz is the only frequency that the 3410 supports (this is a fairly common frequency for USB devices to operate with). What frequency were you trying to use?
