TUSB4041I: Does Pin 17 (TEST signal) need to be pulled down externally ?

Pin 17 (TEST) is reserved for factory test. I have this pin N/C on my design, but I see there is a 4.7K pull-down on this pin in Fig.32 of the datasheet. Do I need this 4.7K pull-down or can I leave this pin N/C ?

yes, TEST pin needs to be connect to gnd by 4.7 resistor.

Doesn't this pin already have an internal pull-down ? What kind of defect/degradation can I expect to see without an external 4.7K pulldown ?

Hi Allen:

One customer has issue before with TEST pin floating, then we recommend every customer to PD TEST pin since then.
