LMH0397: LVDS input polarity

Tool/software:

Since SDI outputs can have their polarity inverted, does this mean that the LVDS input polarity can be swapped to ease routing? Or is the output polarity swap only meant to ease the output routing? This is not clear form the datasheet nor the programming guide.
