TCAN1043A-Q1: TCAN1043 INH Pin remain high during sleep mode

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1

Tool/software:

Problem Statement : When the CAN is in sleep mode, the INH pin is randomly going to High in some iterations which should not happen.

  • Hi Hemant,

Thanks for reaching out on E2E.

There are a variety of reasons TCAN1043A could be waking up and asserting INH high:

    The main methods are:

    • CAN bus Wake up pattern (WUP)
    • Local wake up on the Wake pin
    • nSTB low-to-high transition
    • Unstable VSUP such that it goes below the undervoltage threshold (~4V)

Please confirm if one of these various wake methods is causing the issue. If you are still encountering INH going high randomly, please provide a schematic, an image of the top of the device, and a waveform with INH, VSUP, nSTB, and CANH.

Let me know if that helps or if you have additional questions!
