DS80PCI102: Can a differential impedance of 85 Ohm be used for the RX and TX PCIe pairs?

Part Number: DS80PCI102
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LVPE3101,

Tool/software:

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a PCIe Gen 3 PCB that connects a backplane to a M.2 NVMe SSD. The backplane has an impedance of 100 Ohm (diff.) and the SSD PCB an impedance of 85 Ohm (diff.) on their PCIe differential pairs. A PCIe redriver will be placed between the backplane and the SSD to prevent an impedance mismatch. After my initial research, two ICs from TI come into consideration: SN75LVPE3101 and DS80PCI102.

It appears that the SN75LVPE3101 redriver IC supports both trace impedances (85 Ohm and 100 Ohm) for RX and TX (see excerpts from the SN75LVPE3101 data sheet).

Does this also apply to the DS80PCI102 redriver IC? The following information is given in the DS80PCI102 data sheet:

Best Regards
