SN65EPT21: Requesting for spice model

Part Number: SN65EPT21
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

We have finalized the selection of the SN65EPT21 part for our design and would like to proceed with simulation. To facilitate this, we are requesting the SPICE model for the SN65EPT21 device.

Could you please share the model or direct us to where it can be downloaded?

Looking forward to your support.

  • Hi Harin,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, SN65EPT21 only has an IBIS model, and it can be found in the design simulation section on the product page. Below is the direct link:

  • Hi Ethan ,

    Thank you for your response.

Yes, I am aware that only the IBIS model is available for the SN65EPT21. We are currently performing simulations using the TINA-TI tool, and it would be very helpful if a SPICE model is available for this device.

Alternatively, if it's possible to use the IBIS model within TINA-TI, I would appreciate it if you could guide me through the steps or process to do so.

    Looking forward to your support.

  • Hi Harin,

In order to protect our IP, we cannot give a SPICE model for this device.

However, if you use Pspice, OrCad, Allegro, or other modelinlg software, most of them have a tool to convert IBIS models. Due to our licensing with the TINA-TI software, it is not possible to convert IBIS models to SPICE  models within our software. If you search online, there are a variety of softwares, guides, and tools to convert IBIS models.

    Best,

    Ethan
