Tool/software:
We are using the TUSB2046B USB hub IC in our project. While it works perfectly with standard USB peripherals such as flash memory, mouse, and keyboard, it fails to communicate with the WinCool S828G IC, which controls a touch panel using the GT9110H touch controller.
Interestingly, the same WinCool S828G works flawlessly when connected through a USB2517 hub IC from SMSC.
Additionally, we observed a similar issue with the SEC1110 IC, which also fails to operate when connected via the TUSB2046B, but functions correctly when used with the SMSC USB2517 hub.
We would appreciate your guidance on the following points:
-
Does the TUSB2046B have any limitations or known compatibility issues when communicating with non-HID devices?
-
Could there be any USB protocol-level incompatibilities between the GT9110H-based touch controller (or SEC1110) and the TUSB2046B?
-
Are there any recommended configuration settings or design considerations to enable compatibility with such custom USB devices?
A photo of the hardware and block diagrams are attached for your reference.
