DS90UB949-Q1EVM: Initial Issues Bringing Up Eval Board in Analog Launch Pad

Part Number: DS90UB949-Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP, USB2ANY

Tool/software:

Hello,

We recently received a DS09UB949-Q1EVM (HDMI to FPD-Link III serializer) and are attempting to connect to it via Analog Launch Pad (ALP)

At the moment we are seeing "DS90UH925" as the chip connected to the ALP (shown in left panel in the "Devices" section under the USB2ANY, however we expect it to be DS09UB949 instead.

Further, under the "Information" tab on the right side of the screen we see "Device: DS90UH926 LFD-Link III Deserializer with HDCP"

This is our first time installing ALP and perhaps we did not install it correctly.

Do you have a "how to" or guide for properly installing ALP and any updates it may require?

it seems that there is a profile folder in the "Prorgram Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Analog LaunchPAD v1.57.0010\profiles" path.

Any tips?

Thanks,

AR

  • Hi AR,

You need to manually change the connected device to the proper device profile. Please follow these steps:

    1) Power on the 949.

    2) Go to Tools > USB2Any/Aardvark Setup and select the profile you want (in your case, DS90UB949), and click OK.

    3) On the Profile screen, it should show that the 949 is connected, something like this:

There are instructions here under ALP Software Setup.
