Tool/software:

We put the retimer device on our host , and intserted an EP device on retimer .

but not seeing link up , instead link is moving to compiance state.

Hi, which link is in compliance? Is the EP in compliance mode, retimer downstream, retimer upstream or Host?

Does this occur with a different EP?

Host ltssm state shows compliance state .

You are using the DS160PT801 EVM correct? Is this a x16 link? What is the Host?

yes its DS160PT801 EVM .

i have tested with EP device of x1 or x2 link .

the HOST is NXP specific.
