TCAN1145-Q1: sleep and wake up sequence

Hi team

My customer Mxx is selecting TCAN1145-Q1 for ADAS domain control

But we have a question:

If we keep sending wake-up messages before sending the command to enter sleep mode, and then request to enter sleep mode, what will happen?

Will it enter sleep mode first and then be woken up, or will it not be able to enter sleep mode? Thanks

    Hi Jerry, 

    While the transceiver is in Normal mode with SW_EN disabled (0), it will not decode any CAN frame and thus will not detect any wake-up messages that are received on the CAN pins. Once the SW_EN bit is set (recommended in the same SPI frame as the mode change to Sleep mode) the transceiver will begin to decode all CAN messages received on the bus. At this point if the device recognizes a valid wake-up frame it will transition into Standby mode.
