TUSB8041: Schematic review

Tool/software:

I'm building a USB Hub.

It works with USB 2.0, but it doesn't reach 3.0 speeds.

Please check if there is a problem upstream at this time.

I'm trying to use it in one direction without using MUX in upstream.

I understand that the IC operates at 3.0 by default, without using the internal I2C. Could there be a problem with the circuit I designed?

Hi Woongi:

Do you mean only USB2 working for hub upstream? I didn't see major issue in schematic, you can try to replace C48 with 1uf.

Did you try to flip the USB-C cable? one side USB3 should work .

For type-C port, USBC cable can either plugged in normal side or flip side. At least one side should work based on the schematic.

Changing the direction of the C-type does not work.
