We are writing to request clarification on the Texas Instruments part PCA9536DGKR. We have identified two marking variants that perform differently in our application. For our design to function correctly, the component must have an internal pull-down characteristic. The parts marked 2A TI 7CF exhibit this correct behavior, causing our external 200 kΩ resistors to measure approximately 60 kΩ in-circuit. However, parts marked 520L 7CF appear to be missing this feature, as the same resistors measure their full 200 kΩ value. Could you please confirm if the 520L 7CF is an acceptable variant for this part number, and if so, explain why its electrical behavior is different from the 2A TI 7CF batch that is performing to our requirement?
