Suitable SFP for TLK3101

Please give me your advice.

  1. SFP AVAGO AFBR-57R5AP (http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet2/2/05w2ct77fi2zcutlf5fcskperjcy.pdf).  Is it suitable for the TLK3101.
  2. Termination
    TLK3101 termination described in the datasheet is different from TLK2501's.  This is just for confirmation but we would like to know if we have to refer to the TLK3101 datasheet for termination.  And we also would like to know if we have to adapt termination circuit design to SFP.

    1. Yes!

    2. TLK3101 and TLK2501 are functionally identical. The only difference is that TLK3101serial RX has integrated terminations (see datasheet Figure 15). With an optical module with ac-coupling caps already included inside the optical module, the module TX and TLK3101 RX have to be connected as shown in Figure 15 of the datasheet. No external ac-coupling caps or terminations needed. Just interconnect the module and the SerDes with a 100-ohm differential PCB trace for both module_TX-to-SerDes_RX and SerDes_TX-to-module_RX links. The module RX already has an integrated 100ohm differential termination.
