DP83869HM: Query for conversion of SGMII to RGMII mode

Hello,

I am using this device to connect a CPU MAC connection to Ethernet Switch MAC connection. The device is being used to convert SGMII to RGMII. I need confirmation while using this device whether we need to connect TX to RX and vice-versa or TX to TX and similarly RX.

Hi,

DP83869HM SOP/SON is an output while SIP/SIN is an input.

Looking at the KZ9477S datasheet, S_IN7P/M is an input while S_OUT7P/M is an output.

So DP83869HM SOP/SON need to be connected to S_IN7P/M and SIP/SIN need to be connected to S_OUT7P/M.

I wanted to know how the RGMII will be connected, TX-RX or TX-TX and vice versa..

Hi,

For KSZ9477S, TXD6_[3:0] are defined as inputs. DP83869HM RX_D[3:0] are defined as outputs. So

KSZ9477S TXD6_[3:0] are connected to DP8369HM RX_D[3:0],

KSZ9477S RXD6_[3:0] are connected to DP83869HM TX_D[3:0].
