AM26C31: Inquiry Regarding AM26C31IDR Connection Modification

Part Number: AM26C31

Tool/software:

Dear TI Team,

Thank you for your support.

We would like to modify the connection of the AM26C31IDR as shown in the attached document. Could you please advise whether leaving the inverted output pins open would cause any instability?

Is it okay to leave pin 1 (N.C.) of the TC7SZ34F,LJ unconnected if it's not being used?

Currently, nothing is connected, but there seems to be noise on the output, making it unstable.

We appreciate your assistance and look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Takashi

  • Unused outputs can be left open. Unused inputs must not be left floating.

The N.C. pin of the TC7SZ34F should not be connected.

  • Hello,

This would not cause instability, but as Clemens states, if it is left floating, and it could cause instability and power consumption. To combat this, we recommend tying the floating output to a 375-ohm resistor to ground. Yes, NC indicates that this should not be connected. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best,
