TDP2004: Lane and Polarity Swapping

Part Number: TDP2004
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUXHS4612

Tool/software:

Hi,

Does TDP2004 support lane swapping? e.g. swap D0A with D3A.

Does TDP2004 support polarity swapping within a pair? e.g. swap D0+A with D0-A.

  • Hi Dan,

Because TDP2004 is a linear redriver, as long as both inputs and output lanes are swapped and polarity is swapped, this device supports both polarity and lane swapping.

    Best,

    J

  • Thanks J, that's great news!

This is really important because I plan to use TMUXHS4612 with TDP2004, and their pin maps don't align in a way that's easy to route without exceeding via count and other signal integrity guidelines.

    Kind regards,
    Dan

  • Hi Dan,

TMUXHS4612 should also support lane and polarity swapping as long as the input and the output matches since this device is a passive mux.

    Best,
    J
