Hello experts,

We want to use LM61460-Q1 to the satellite project.

Are there any restrictions on using it on satellites?

We are understanding that is not protected against outgassing and radiation.

We would like to confirm whether there are any using restrictions by TI regarding the use of automotive grade products in space applications.

TI devices are qualified for the datasheet specs mentioned in the datasheet. See https://www.ti.com/support-quality/faqs/qualification-summary-faqs.html and https://www.ti.com/support-quality/certifications-and-standards/part-ratings.html

TI cannot guarantee operation in conditions beyond which the part is rated for. If you decide to use the part outside of its ratings (in this case for space environment) - it would be at your own risk. There are Space qualified parts which come with additional screening and radiation tolerance testing. You can consider using them for your design.

If we use LM61460-Q1 and LM64460-Q1 in a space enviroment, we will consider to use at our own risk.

Of cource, we will consider a space qualified parts of TI.

If you have a DCDC converter of space qualified, could you please send an information?
