TUSB9261: Need to review the design of "TUSB9261IPAPQ1" interface with SSD

    Hi Nikhil,

    It looks like the crystal you have selected is a 40MHz crystal. However, it looks like the FREQSEL pins are configured for a 25MHz crystal. The FREQSEL pins should both be pulled-up to 3.3V for a 40MHz crystal.

    For the RX lanes, 100nF caps are not needed. These should be removed.

    Please ensure the crystal setup follows what is recommended in the datasheet:

    I.E, VSSOSC is not connected to PCB ground, and is used to ground the XI and XO capacitors. I would recommend connecting those capacitors to VSSOSC rather than PCB ground.

    I see you are using a type-C connector, but don't have a CC controller. Is this intended for a legacy-cable setup, like a type-A to a type-C, or for type-C to type-C? Typically, a type-C connector needs a CC controller to configure the devices role.

    I have modified as the changes and Type C connector CC pin we don't use it.



    Could you please share us firmware of the convertor which need to be Flashed in "SST25VF040B-50-4I-S2AF-T" IC.
    Also let us know flashing procedure.

    Are you only using one side of the type-C connector? If so, then the type-C cable will not work for one flip orientation, and will only work in one specific orientation. And even then, a CC controller is still needed to communicate what the orientation of the cable is, so that the connection can take place.

    The firmware needed can be downloaded from the TUSB9261 webpage, and the TUSB926X FlashBurner utility can be used to flash the SPI.
