Tool/software:
VCCA = 1.8 Vdc
VCCB = 5.0 Vdc
the datasheet does not provide details on how the IC decides which direction to transmit the data.
Pin 3, A2
Good board waveform (on left).
Bad board waveform (on right)

The TXB does not sense the direction. The input and output buffers on both sides are always active.
The output buffers a very weak to allow other devices to override the voltage. This results in many limitations; see sections 7.3.2, 7.3.3, and 7.3.5 of the datasheet.
Please show both the input and output waveforms.
Hi Joe,
Can you clarify if the concern here is on pin 3 unable to drive into pin 12 (and if so is there a schematic that I can check)?
Regards,
Jack
