DP83869HM: Can MII interface and RGMII interface hardware be designed to be compatible

From the PHY size, RGMII and MII share the same pinout on the data line. However, some pins like RX_CTRL/RX_DV, TX_CTRL/TX_EN, LED_1/RX_ER, and JTAG_CLK/TX_ER will have to be connected appropriately. If the SoC shares the same IO for these pins on RGMII and MII, then the MII and RGMII will be compatible with the same PCBA hardware Because DP83869 on default straps to RGMII to copper mode, you will have to ensure on the register configuration to change to MII mode.

On the AM64x MII and RGMII are supported by the ICSSG ports.

You could refer to the AM64x EVM for implementation.
