DS125DF1610EVM: How can I enable the Eye Monitor Page in SigCon Architect?

Hi TI support,

I don't have an RX input, so I force-enabled the signal detector to turn green.

As shown in the attached image, my eye diagram is closed. Is it necessary to provide an RX input for the Eye Monitor to work? Or is there another way to make it function? I've also attached my .cfg file for reference. Thanks!

CDR lock is required for the eye monitor to work correctly.

Hi Drew,

But the CDR seems to be locked, as the indicator has turned green.

By the way, can force-enabling allow the EVM board to operate without an RX input?

If the PRBS generator is functioning properly, would connecting TX to RX allow the Eye Monitor to operate as expected?

My setup for attaching the eye monitor is still not working, even though the PRBS generator is enabled.

Hi Che-Jung,

If my understanding is correct, you are trying to generate PRBS output on TX4A and lock to the signal on RX4A. This creates a circular dependency and we do not support this configuration.

To use the PRBS generator, we recommend providing a valid input signal to the channel RX (either valid data or sub-rate clock) in order to acquire CDR lock.
