DS90UB988-Q1: 983EVM & 988 PCBA to LCM, BIST mode output color bar is blinking

Hi TI

Connect DS90UB983EVM & DS90UB988 PCBA to LCM, set Daisy chain off. Now, run the script to output the color bar in BIST mode. The color bar on LCM is blinking (Flashing) and cannot be kept.
So:
(1) How do I fix the blinking color bar?
(2) I have an incluld EDID cable (HDMI to DP cable) and want to connect my PC to the 983EVM's DP-IN connector. How do I configure it?

    Hi Dylan,

    This is a public forum so we cannot talk about NDA parts (983 and 988) here. Can you please reach out to your local FAE to post this question on the internal forum? 

    For now, I can say that BIST mode should not be used when running a pattern. BIST mode is used to check the integrity of the FPD-link and used for forward and back channel error checking, and not meant for end-to-end configurations. Please see 7.3.18.1 BIST Configuration and Status on the 983 datasheet.

    So for the first step, please do not run the devices in BIST mode when running a pattern. Also, please ensure your mode straps are strapped correctly (FPD-Link rate, dual/independent, sst, oLDI output) and programmed correctly in the script generation tool.
