ESD204: ESD protection for 10G ethernet

Hi, 

may I know whether we can use ESD204 for 10G ethernet application? since 10G ethernet is using PAM-16, the signal frequency should be below 1G on each twist wire, ESD204 seems ok to use. anything else I need to consider?

    Hi, 

    ESD204 would work for these speeds. The device supports 10G per channel so I don't see any concerns. Only thing else to consider is the clamping voltage. We recommend the clamping voltage of the ESD diode to be at or less than the abs max of the downstream IC that is requiring protection.
