TCAN1043A-Q1: State change from standby mode to sleep mode

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team

My customer wanted to enter into sleep mode from standby via an SWE timer timeout(>t_inactive) where Vcc>UVcc, Vio>UVio, Vsup>UVsup.

Would you help provide the status in below listed items between B and C?

Wakerq flag, driver, receiver, RXD, IHM, nFault

Thanks

  • Hi Ted,

Today is a holiday. Please help give some time within the week for some feedback, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.

  • Hi Ted,

This is not a recommended way to enter sleep mode during normal operation. SWE timer is usually 3-4 minutes long which is designed to reduce the current consumption when there is software error and the transceiver is stuck in standby mode or during the initial power up. A more preferred way to enter sleep mode from standby mode is using NSTB and EN pins.

There are no pin status "between" two modes, the datasheet has listed the pin status in different modes, as that state diagram shows, or you can find in table 8-4.

    Regards,

    Sean

  • Hi Sean

I also suggested customer the process standby mode ->go to sleep -> sleep mode.

But for original question. TCAN1043A is kept in standby mode before entering sleep mode from B to C, is it right?

    Thanks

  • Hi Ted,

If EN & nSTB pins are kept low, this is correct, it will stay in standby mode.

    Regards,

    Sean
