There are differences in the functional test in our production with these components.

A component with date code 2223 has a current consumption (supply current) of approx. 50 mA.

The newer components with date code 2514, the current consumption is almost nearly 0 mA.

We were able to find PCN# 20240328001.1 for this. Is this behavior related to the change in the wafer?

Yes. Apparently, the new device uses a CMOS architecture; it's probably identical with the AM26C31.

Hi Michael,

That is correct. The older devices used BJTs as the main technology which is current driven while the newer dies use CMOS technology which is voltage driven so the consumption current is much lower.
