Is it possible to control the power of ports individually? Through which registers is the control carried out? I want to control through a program for Windows 11.
I connected 4 TPS25221DRV to the hub.

Hi Andrei:

If both FULLPWRMENT and GANGed pin are low, hub is configured with individual power switching mode and Vbus switch TPS25221 is controlled by PWRCTLx pin.

You can also control port power by Set port feature command from system.

Now I have the EEPROM mode enabled. It turns out that commands can be written to address 0x50. But as I understand it, they are written to EEPROM and only start working after a reset? Do I need to switch to SMBUS mode? And which registers are responsible for power supply? I tried using the REG_08h used[3:0] register, but it seems to have no effect

When pulling the SMBUSz pin to ground via a 1k resistor, for some reason the hub stops being visible in the device manager. While in i2c mode I was able to reach the hub at address 0x44. By changing bit 5 (pwrctlPol) in the Ah register I can turn off all ports without rebooting the device. Changing used[3:0] of register 8h (Port Used Configuration Register) does not lead to anything. customRmbl = 1 of register 7h and ganged = 0 of register 5h

in the document SLLSF94 I can't find section 10.16.2.10. Could you tell me in which document this section is?

I2C mode is for hub to read from EEPROM.

for SMBUS mode, you can control hub register. but the hub stops being visible in the device manager when in SMBUS mode until you clear the bit 0 in register F8.

So you need to clear bit 0 of F8 register everytime you make changes in Hub register.
