Hi,

We consider to use the DP83TD510E for the T1L solution, and please advise if this PHY can support 2KM distance? and pleaes advsie if the DP83T812R-Q1(100M) & DP83T720R-Q1(1000M) is support the T1L?

and we need to know the material requirements for transmission cables, and please advise if there are any document to describe this application? thanks.

Hi Zhang,

The DP83TD510E can support distances up to 2km. Currently, this is the only part in our portfolio that supports the T1L standard, both the 812 and 720 are T1 devices, and not T1L. The cable reach largely depends on certain factors such as cable characteristic impedance, insertion loss, matching termination on the 510 device side, etc. Linked below is an app note going into further detail about maximizing cable reach using this device.
