i am connecting a displayport panel not an edp panel so should i need assr to be enabled

Are you using the register settings based on the calculator tool shared in the thread below?

If link training is successful, please try using color bars pattern to test whether downstream video is working. If color bar test pattern works, then use the DSI video input with the same timings.

Is it a script how to run that i am using imx8mp processor and a custom board.

Hi Cyriac,

This E2E thread has the spreadsheet where you can enter the display timings, LVDS and DP settings. The READ ME sheet has the instructions. Please enable test pattern for initial testing.

This will generate a list of register settings which can be written to the DSI86 via I2C. The processor and custom board should have I2C communication to the DSI86 bridge.

However, the easiest way would be to use the calculator to generate the register configurations.
