Hi,

I wonder if the TUSB9261 can be powered only by a USB 3.0 (+5V), or do I need to connect the +1,1V and +3,3V pins?
The way I understood it is that the TUSB9261 can be powered via USB_VBUS (pin 50) and can leave the +1,1V and +3,3V pins unconnected.

Hi,

You will need to apply 1.1V and 3.3V to power the part.

Many thanks for clearing that up.

Also, do I have to connect SPI, GPIO, Crystal (XI, XO, VSSOCS), UART on the TUSB9261 or is it optional? I am trying to keep the design as simple as possible.

Another question. Is the TUSB9261 pre-programmed for the USB -> SATA conversion or do I need to program everything by myself?
I've read the Description-section in the datasheet, but I just want to be 100% certain.

We still recommend using the flash burner tool to flash the TUSB9261 with the firmware we provide on TI.com, to ensure proper functionality.
